Solara SLE Convertible 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,500 miles

My dashboard is melting, it stinks and it looks awful! When it is sunny the reflection is blinding and this is a convertible. We have not driven it except for a few miles close to home for almost a year! We took our car in for dash repair in October of 2015. We were told it would be here in 6-8 weeks. So we purchased new tires assuming we could drive the car soon. WRONG - THEY LIED. It is now Almost June 2016 and STILL NO DASHBOARD!

We wanted to sell it and now we have lost money as well as have not been able to drive it. We called Toyota Headquarters and they said they quit ordering them in January - What? Did I hear right? WHEN WILL I GET MY DASHBOARD?????

IF we get parts in maybe in August of 2016.

We were not even sent a letter about this problem or maybe we could have been first in line! It is disgusting to lose on such a big investment. No more Toyotas for me....

Solara LEX 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

Received a letter from Toyota that dash was recalled. Took car into dealer. They gouged out 3 in section and said we were on the list to get it fixed when Toyota received the money. Been over a year and have not heard anything. Calls to manager are not returned. Have been offered to join class action law suit, but just want my car fixed. May have to join just to get it fixed.
