The support cable on the left side broke while opening the tailgate. Dealer was notified, and informed the consumer that this vehicle was not covered under a recall. The right side cable rusted through but was still intact. Replacement on order for right side. The left side cable has been replaced. Consumer feels this is a safety hazard.
