I waited a month to wax the truck to make sure the paint was set. I bought the most expensive wax, McGuiars, which said clear coat safe on it,, non-scratching towels and pads to apply. I applied according to directions after washing the truck. I applied the wax in the garage. It left circles all over the truck in the clear coat, like pox marks, which are the clear coat cracking and getting ready to peel. I have had the truck one month and have been extra careful with it, cleaning it every day, not dogging it, and am extremely upset. I plan to see the dealer tomorrow.

My 2007 Toyota Tacoma with 7,000 original miles is really looking like crap! Clear-coat in many many areas is starting to crack. My truck is show room new except THAT. I take excellent care of my truck.
Toyota says it's a defect, yet, because it's out of warranty they wont fix it. I got an estimate for $3800 to repaint! This is crazy. I understand that this clear-coat the industries are using is industry problem, why do they bother using clear-coat to begin with, if it peals and they know it will peal after the warranty!
