paint corrosion paint corrosion

Wow my Tacoma, which I take very good care of and have never taken to the car wash because I wash it by hand with the best products, has rust all over the top of the cab. Devastating damage. I emailed Toyota and they said they were sorry about the paint. They had me call their Customer Service Representative and he told me there was nothing they could do for me!

I gave them a terrible survey. I paid $30,000 for the truck and bought the additional Perma Guard coverage which protects paint and interior. I also paid $1,300 for the additional service program and this is the treatment I get for being a loyal customer? This is my 3rd truck from Toyota since 1986. Toyota is not a loyal company and I will tell everyone about my experience!

Please hear me and understand I can't afford to fix this problem. Toyota is a bad company that don't care about their customers. I'm done with them! It's sad.🙁

paint corrosion

My truck has been garaged, washed & waxed with proper detailing products. Always been in So.Cal. so no snow or sea elements. Why I say that is because there is no cause that is known that I can think of that can be causing the paint to start fading its the top coat. It looks like oxidation I guess. I just know that my paint on my hood & roof on my Tacoma is looking like its been thru an acid rain storm..lol. Seriously though I've noticed this same problem on the same Toyota Tacomas that I see driving every where. So I realized that just maybe this is a manufacturers defect in the paint, cuz is it that its the same make of truck(Toyota) (Tacoma) and its the same problem (paint) in the exact 2 same places (roof&hood) and these trucks are not old at all, my year is 2008. So I seriously believe their is something wrong with the paint. I think it deserves to at least be looked into and have some answers to my question as why this is happening.

Hello 2008 Toyota Tacoma Makers , Two recalls , REALLY !!!!!!!, Then on top of that the paint job is corroding away, tell me what's going on with that? We have had the pick-up two years. I bought a Nissan 2009 MURANO AND THE PAINT JOB IS NOT DOING THIS! Come on Toyota, stand behind your product the way you should !! I will not buy another one that's for sure !!!
