Electronic sensor on accelerator pedal results in engine revving up while shifting. The fuel supply to the engine is maintained for a second or two after you release the gas pedal. Super annoying while shifting and it doesn't help when downshifting either.
Toyota tell me that its designed to work that way (i.e. wrong). Nobody there has been able to tell me why it would be designed to hold revs high when the accelerator is released. I now have 600 miles on the truck and I'm thinking of selling.
