I have noticed that the turn signals on my tacoma are indicated by the yellow flashers on either side of the grill and when I turn on parking lights it activates the wrap around lenses located on either side of the headlights. This seems backwards to me. I have had this truck since new and noticed other tacomas on the road ( and there are a lot of tacomas here in Hawaii) have the same configuration or their turn signal / parking light configuration is reversed with blinkers on the corner of the fenders and parking lights being the yellow lenses near the grill( which is how I think it should be. Not A big deal just noticed sometimes at intersections other drivers and pedestrians cant see my blinker from the side.I called the dealer here on big island when I noticed this after having had my truck about a year just to see if they were aware. The guy at the dealership said yea, some are that way some are the other way, and that was basically it. Seems like a saftey issue to me since I am pretty sure the wrap around lens on the corner of the front bumper is supposed to be the turn signal were they can be seen from the side.
