I just bought this truck and the day after I bought it the radio display goes out but the radio still playing, then the radio goes off completely. I have to turn it back on dozens of times then it works. I go to the Toyota place and they want to charge me 450 dollars to replace the radio. I think that they should recall the radio and replace it free, because one of the guys that worked there told me that they have had this problem with the radio in several of these trucks.

Radio display will not work in hot weather (90F+). Once the car cools down, the display comes back on.

Radio display showed strange characters, steering wheel controls worked but controls on radio didn't. I was two months out of warranty but well under warranty mileage limit. Toyota replaced radio. This is the second replacement radio - first was two years ago. Hopefully they have these straightened out now.
