Tacoma

  • Manual transmission
  • 151,000 miles

The horn suddenly stopped working. After researching, I discovered that this is a common issue with Tacomas. I purchased a clock spring on eBay for about $15 and replaced it myself. I've read that having this service done at a Toyota dealership could cost several hundred dollars. My advice is to watch some tutorials on YouTube and read through specialized forums to handle the repair yourself. It's not too complicated if you have a bit of technical know-how.

Tacoma Prerunner V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,000 miles

Horn stopped working at under 60,000 miles. Very annoying. I'll have the shop look at it during the next oil change. Way too young of a truck to have a problem like this.
