Tacoma 2.7L

I got charged $716. Canadian for a steering part that was poorly engineered. A yoke on a shaft that was opened to the weather and rendered the steering two handed to turn the wheel. Part is only available from Toyota. When I called up Toyota Canada they told me my vehicle had too may miles on it for them to do anything to help. Same truck failed a safety inspection from rusted out leaf springs that they later recalled.

Tacoma TRD 6

  • Automatic transmission

Going about 40 mph on right turn--slight turn, dry pavement, beep beep goes off in dash, PU went into other lane, if had been meeting someone would of hit--and would of been very bad. Was like wheel came off, or power steering went out. Put on brake=clunk---took both hands, hard turning back to right, got off road. Decided to try to get home--only less than 1 mi. away, did, parked it. Called dealership Mon am. 3d of Oct., said if they towed and nothing wrong I would have to pay. I drove3 up--very slowly, they said they found nothing, said machine showed nothing. Said its leveling---and my fault as I put a 3" and 32's on it!!! To drive carefully. I ask for computer printout--they said isn't one as it showed nothing. I can't drive it this way---have new PU, making pmts., and can't drive it. Any one else have this????? Thks
