I bought this new in 2014, and three years later the clear coat started to peel off like she was a drunken hooker who fell asleep at the beach. Then the paint started to peel. DO NOT BUY A 2014 Toyota of any model. Looks like Toyota isn't doing anything about it either. So many guys I know at work that have different year Tacomas all have paint problems. I don't expect much from these f**s, just want everyone to know about it. I'm not fixing it so Im just driving it around forever with the paint falling off n looking like sht so everyone can see what a Toyota looks like after it hits its 3rd birthday.

I first thought this problem was my fault because it started on the roof and I haul items that have made lite contact with the roof. Then about a month or so later, the hood started showing signs of delamination, then the areas by the windows. Now it looks terrible, so I contacted Toyota and didn't get nowhere. I took it to a dealer and they said its not a Toyota issue and said I should get it painted on my own dime. I then took it to two different paint shops and they even said the clearcoat was too thin and Toyota's have been having problems with the paint peeling, one is a certified service center. I sent the estimate to Toyota and still no reply 3 weeks later. I can't afford to spend $10K on a paint job for a vehicle worth about $20K. I will just drive it and when somebody ask about it, I will give them the whole story and let them decide if they want to buy a Toyota.
