Tacoma Sport 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,200 miles

! have a 2015 Toyota Tacoma . It has lost all power and has went in to limp mode because of failed secondary air injection system . Now i understand Toyota will not fix this problem even though it is a factory defect . Not sure why they issued a recall for the Tundra and Sequoia but not the Tacoma knowing it is a problem with other models . My advice is do not buy a Toyota Tacoma because this is a problem they will not fix . Check engine and Track off light is on and is going to cost me possibly a couple thousand dollars i do not have to solve the problem. Come on Toyota do the right thing , stand up and take responsibility for your f*ck up. Looks like i am going back to being a Ford man . Should have never changed in the first place. Don't have to worry about getting a speeding ticket because truck will not run over 40 mph. WTF ?

Tacoma V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,434 miles

loss of power, check engine light & track off light is on

secondary air injection pump & switching valve is down

This was a manufacturing problem P2445 & P2441 which caused my truck to only have power at 20 mph or less. This truck is only 6 months old and I am the only owner- in no way should I have had to be on the side of the road needing assistance. The remarks on the Toyota's Service Mechanic report is as follows word for word: "SENT FOR PARTS, NEEDS TO BE ORDERED CAR DOWN, UNSAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE VEHICLE MAY GO INTO LIMP MODE FOR THIS CONDITION WHILE DRIVING". If I have one more manufacturing problem, I will demand another vehicle...No lemons needed here!
