Third time this wind noise has happened on our long distance trip. Now we know that it has to be windy and driving on highway for this annoying wind noise to happen. Mentioned it to dealership, and no explanation. I finally came across this website and started researching and decided to submit my complaints. Hopefully they find a solution for this really annoying defect.

Once again while driving on interstate 15 same route we took back in January, the wind noise started. Coming from the passenger side. It was also windy when noise started up. It seems that it only happens while driving on a highway in windy conditions.

This was our first long distance drive in our tacoma prerunner. While driving on interstate 15, speed around 70-75 mph we heard wind noise coming from the passenger side. We pulled over to make sure all doors were closed and all windows were up and shut. We noticed it was also windy outside. We get back on the highway and sure enough the wind noise starts up again, the noise would come and go. It lasted for about an hour, out of our 4 hour drive. It was really annoying, sounded exactly like having a window barely cracked open and you get that whistling wind noise. Two days later when we were headed back home it happened again very briefly.

i just bought this truck used about 3 months ago and on the drive home, 650 miles, the driver's side window makes a loud vibration noise. I took it to our local Toyota dealership, but it was a rainy day and could not duplicate the problem. I have to wait until it is a dry day and can get up to 75mph on the road for it to happen again. Trying to upload a video, the mechanic was skeptical, but when I played it on my phone he was definitely confused.
