This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Toyota dealer.
50,500 miles I noticed the car had some liquid on the bottom frame. When I took a look I saw that it was coming from the engine. The Toyota dealership in Colchester CT, took care of it in 1.5 days. I believe it had to do with a gasket somewhere around the engine. They explained that this new model requires the engine to be mounted off hence the longer labor work. It was all covered under warranty and the truck came back in perfect conditions.

Among the many, many problems with this truck, now the engine is leaking over half a quart of oil per day.

Timing chain cover leak is pretty common for the 2016-2017 Tacoma with the 3.5. Per the dealership the parts to fix are very cheap but you have to pull the entire motor to access the area so the cost is labor. I was quoted anywhere from 2700-3500 to fix the issue. Should be a recall in my opinion since multiple people are reporting this issue.

Other than this issue the truck was very reliable. I would suggest buying something 2018 or newer.
