I bought the truck brand new at the Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington Texas. Wrapped up my paperwork late evening and woke up next day I went out and got in my truck then noticed something weird on the hoods paint. I got out and checked on it. Seems to be some sort of defect or chemical ate into my paint. I drove back to show my salesman and they took it to their body shop and then told me its not covered and I could've done something to the paint. It was on my roof and doors but it was denied and I drove it for about a year then got a letter in my mail with Toyota acknowledging paint peel issues with my truck but it only covers the fender and doors. I never had chance to go to dealer until I got another 2 letters and now 4 years later and 88k miles.
I noticed paint peel on my fender so I decided let's get this done. The dealer I went to in another state, now I'm living in Louisiana told me the letter is correct and it only covers the fender and doors. I called Toyota customer relations and they noted my complaint also. Their answer is we don't have a campaign for the entire paint on truck just yet but I need to document my other paint issues so one day it could include those other panels also. I told her so my paint will be different colors? The shop I'm at has a white tacoma with paint peel on the bed. I have paint peel on my fuel lid and spots on my roof. The current campaign doesn't cover those areas which doesn't make sense to me. Well here's my complaint.
