The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle would exhibit excessive shaking. The dealer stated that the vehicle needed new tires. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic for a second opinion and then taken back to the dealer for further diagnostic testing. The dealer stated that the driveshaft center bearing needed to be replaced. The contact also stated that the frame was covered with severe corrosion and rust. The fuel tank was barely attached to the vehicle. The contact referenced NHTSA recall campaign id number 09V444000 (structure: Frame and members: Underbody shields) but was unable to confirm if his VIN was included in the recall. The driveshaft center bearing was replaced by the dealer who also classified the vehicle as condemned. The failure and current mileages were unknown.
