"exterior lights tail lights recall" since I've owned this truck since 2000, I've had issues with the rear tail lights socket bulb coming loose after awhile driving. And my truck is not coverd in the recall for this issue. Dont know the reason why.

The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Tundra. While driving at any speed, the tail light bulbs fell out of the socket without warning. The bulbs were replaced; however, the failure recurred numerous times. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 99V347003 (exterior lighting). The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.

The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the cargo lamp/stop light burned out. The contact attempted to replace the light bulb and noticed that the housing unit was melted and had dripped onto the light bulb. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the housing unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
