This is a constant problem. The truck sits for any amount of time without use and the battery goes dead. It's been doing it for years. I've seen that I'm not the only Tundra owner with this issue so I'm assuming that the battery is grounded out somewhere and draining the life out of it. I've had it looked out by multiple mechanics who have scratched their heads with no idea what the problem is and I just keep jumping it whenever it's gone too long between runs.
I just wish Toyota would tell me what the real issue is here so I could have it fixed and be done with it :S

The 2003 Tundra is an all around good truck. The 4 wheel drive works great, the engine has plenty of power, it is comfortable and has a good fit, the pulling power is worth its size too.
It has a big problem in the electrical. It either has a short, something is running all the time, or both which drains the battery after a couple days without use. It is a pain in the ass. Toyota apparently doesn't have a fix, and they won't let anyone know the problem if they know of one. All I want is the problem fixed but I am not spending a fortune to have multiple mechanics inspect it and scratch their heads in confusion.
TOYOTA what is the problem?
