Vehicle began to accelerate down a steep hill and no matter what I tried to do to stop the vehicle nothing happened. It just kept accelerating. Lost control of vehicle, and was unable to negotiate the right hand turn. Vehicle slammed into a dirt embankment, then rolled over and reversed it's position. Consequently, I was trapped in a running vehicle with gasoline leaking and unable to shut off the engine. Had to wait 30N minutes for ems/fire rescue to arrive. Extrication took another 25-30 minutes. Transported to trauma center, york, pa.

The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Tundra. While driving 70 mph, the contact noticed an abnormal tapping noise coming from the engine. The contact turned into a parking lot and the vehicle seized without warning. The contact attempted to turn the vehicle off and back on, but was unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed to healey Hyundai (410 fishkill ave, beacon, NY 12508, (845) 360-9822) where it was diagnosed that the engine failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered assistance with repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 90,157.

The 2004 and earlier Toyota Tundra has had major corrosion issues and frame recalls. My Tundra was just inspected by the local Toyota dealer and major corrosion was noted on the vehicle frame. Toyota applied a fiberglass based rustproofing to the frame. However, they would not acknowledge any other corrosion or rot on the vehicle. My vehicles motor mounts are so corroded that I am afraid that the engine will fall out of the vehicle. Also, the mounts that hold the radiator are so corroded they are almost gone. There are numerous other areas in the engine compartment and undercarriage that are completely corroded. The vehicle is unsafe to drive and Toyota will not address it.

Catalytic converter failed at 55,023 miles and was replaced under warranty. The same catalytic converter failed again at 110,000 miles and when I went to a dealer was told that it wasn't under warranty and that I would have to pay $1200 for the part alone and labor would be extra. I also told the dealer that the high rear brake light housing was melting from the heat of the lights. They did nothing. The frame is rusting badly and is becoming a safety hazard. I called Toyota customer service and they said there was no recall for any of these items and there was nothing they could do. "adaptive equipment" is listed as a choice under "affected parts". how about explaining exactly what is the definition of "adaptive equipment"?
