While driving at speeds between 30 - 50 miles an hour. There is a very rough shudder coming from the transmission. It will get better by speeding up or by stopping the vehicle and turning the car off. When the shudder starts and you try to come to a stop the rear end of the vehicle shakes excessively. You think the back of the truck is going to skip off the road. Toyota did a manufacture service bulletin for this issue. However they only covered certain years and my VIN was not included in the fix. My vehicle now has 211000 miles and it is happening to my vehicle.

The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while idle at a traffic light and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle was jerking with a popping sound coming from underneath the vehicle near the middle and the rear end. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the yoke had separated from the driveshaft. The vehicle was not repaired by the mechanic and was instead taken to the dealer for a possible recall repair related to the failure. The dealer confirmed the diagnostic result however, the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 07V579000 (Power Train). The contact stated that the same failure had occurred 5 years prior and the vehicle was repaired out-of-pocket. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

2007 Toyota Tundra. While driving approximately 40 mph, the check engine, ESC, and vsc warning indicators illuminated as I was entering the freeway then the vehicle started to lose power and would not accelerate more than 60mph, the truck went into a limp mode. I reset the ECM by disconnecting the battery but it came back. The approximate failure mileage was 71K. This issue is all over the internet and should be covered by emissions warranty. Called the dealer and it is not covered by federal emissions warranty after 10yrs. Not good!

The frame is completely rusted holes in some spots. Exhaust is rusted. Exhaust hangers have rusted apart. Fuel tank hangers are rusted almost apart. All brake lines are rusted. Transmission is slipping due to mounting brackets being rusted. Driveshaft has fallen apart due to rust. Terrible condition.

My truck first thing in morning will not shift into 3rd gear until I stop put in park and then drive and once going down road it shifts and drives fine when reported it to dealer he tells me that it has to warm up that his does same thing, all my lights on gauges comes on flashing oil light 4 wheel drive light the skid light every light comes on I take cables off battery and wait a while hook up and they all go off what would cause this it does it almost daily why it's in motion on city and highway roads

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the tailshaft housing seal twice however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to North bakersfield Toyota (19651 industry pkwy dr, bakersfield, ca 93308, (661) 615-1100) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the driveline needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 07V579000 (power train) due to the vehicle being a 2 wheel drive and not a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

A new transmission was put in my 07 Tundra in 2018 (do to improper service) worked well at that time. In 2019 tail shaft seal started to leak again was then replaced with a new seal geniune Toyota seal has worked well for about 3K miles and has started to leak again it seems to only leak after once the truck gets warmed up and only when it is in motion on hwy or streets. I am seeing a lot of complaints online about this! will include links. I see recalls for 07 4WD for this problem but not for the 2wd why it sounds like the same problem exactly, and feel this could be a big safety problem leading to an accident, fire or death. The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Tundra. When the vehicle was started, it entered into limp mode. The vehicle had no power and the transmission felt like it was dragging. All the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact's spouse connected a code reader to the vehicle and received failure reading "secondary air injector is stuck". the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs due to the diagnostic fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact of an updated warranty that was issued in 2017, which had expired. The contact also stated that the frame of the bed was rusted. The contact had not received any notifications from the manufacturer about the extended warranty and recall campaigns for the transmission and rust. The vehicle was serviced at Toyota world of newton (66 hampton house rd, newton, NJ 07860). The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

My check engine light has come on. As well as the lights stating the vehicle stability control and traction control systems have been disabled. The transmission will not shift out of third gear and the vsc being off is causing an unsafe driving condition due to slipping tires around corners at normal speeds. Upon checking the engine code P2714 and P0751 I have come to find out there is an internal Toyota technical service bulletin circulating their dealership service departments dating back to November 28, 2007 when this issue was first discovered. The bulletin is named TC017-07. Also upon further investigation I have found numerous posts about this code and the exact issues my vehicle suffers from on multiple Toyota Tundra message and internet chat groups. This is a very serious issue which could easily cause loss of life or property if these vehicles with this issue are suddenly prone to the vsc and transmission acting abnormally. This issue for me came up very suddenly with no prior warning as the dash lights came in while driving. I will be asking totota to fix this issue at their cost with the remedy they describe in their service bulletin. The remedy they recommend is to replace the transmission and reprogram the ECM.

I had all the dash lights flashing and the transfer case stuck in 4wheel drive low, an engine misfire and vibration. I took it to my mechanic and he said it was an air pump valve problem. He cleared the codes in the computer and I drove it home. The next morning it did the same thing. I took it back and he got it running again. The weather has since warmed up and it hasn't done it since. That was a couple months ago. I found out that Toyota was extending the warranty to 10 years and 100,000 miles. So I took it to foss Toyota in casper, wy. They told me they couldn't fix it unless it malfunctioned right there on their lot. I contacted Toyota headquarters by E-mail, I explained the problem and was phoned by someone at Toyota. They told me the same thing. I say bullcookies. Those engine fail codes are still in the computer. And I believe they're stalling until my 10 years are up this coming September. This air pump repair is a $5,000 to $6,000 bill. I think Toyota should repair my truck, I bought it from them in good faith, I had to have a $1,000 + engine belt and a water pump put on it already, and now this" what are my options when dealing with a less than honest company" when the dash lights flashing and the transfer case stuck in 4WD. It was parked in my garage and I just started it up on a cold morning. Thank you
