The contact owns 2008 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated a vehicle crashed into the rear of their vehicle and when the vehicle was repaired, the plug used to haul a trailer no longer functioned properly. The design of the new plug was wider and it caused the electrical cable to hang from the trailer lights. The electrical cables would also detach from causing the vehicle not to have electricity to the trailer that was being hauled. The contact asked the dealer to replace the old design but the manufacturer stated that they no longer had them. The failure prevented the tail lights and brake lights from working. The failure mileage and current mileages were 40,000.

I just bought my 2008 Tundra and have noticed an incredible bounce while driving on the freeway. This does not seem normal and concerns me. The tires have been rotated and balanced and this doesn't seem to change the bounce effect. After reading online, it appears that Toyota is familiar with this problem. I hope they fix it soon. I have taken the cars to two dealerships and they said it was normal. I have own 4 Toyota trucks and none had this problem! I just hope that Toyota realizes that there is a major problem before an accident or death happens!

Paint on 2008 Tundra crewmax is terrible quality. "this is my first new vehicle purchase and I am for the most part very happy with my 08 pyrite mica crewmax purchase. My only problem with this truck is you got it, the paint job. Don't get me wrong its a beautiful color, but man is this paint fragile. I have 408 miles on this truck and have leaned against it a few times loading and unloading items from the side and have scratches that are very noticeable from brushing against the side with blue jeans. For a truck with a 44,000 msrp, you would think it would have a better quality paint job than this, this is bs. My 98 Chevy original paint is much tougher than this. Toyota is going have to do better than this if they expect a repeat purchase from me. I realize certain chemicals have been banned from the painting process in the states, but we've got to do better with today's technology this shouldn't be happening."

I have owned my 2008 Toyota Tundra for 6 weeks now and love my truck!! the only problem is with the factory paint job. The paint on this vehicle scratches far too easy. If a hose rubs on it, or if someone's jacket rubs along the vehicle, it will scratch all the way down to the metal! I understand that this is a pickup truck, but Toyota should stand behind the quality of their work.

After about 45 days I started noticing scratches all over my truck. It had never been off road and had only been hand washed by the dealership. Toyota Corp. And the dealership were of absolutely no help. Yesterday I bumped(and I mean barely bumped) the hood with the water hose while washing it, and it took the paint off all the way down to the metal! unbelievable! a $40,000 truck that is ruined! I will have to invest thousands of dollars for a new paint job.

08 Tundra crewmax. Has multiple scratches in the paint. Paint is very thin (one coat). Paint can not even be washed without scratching. Truck has scratches on it from leaning over the bed, also around all the door handles from just opening the doors, not to mention all the marks around the door and tailgate from just our hands. $45,000 truck...you would think that they could atleast put a good coat of paint on it. This will cost me thousands to fix. The truck has never been off road and should have no visible marks. This is ridiculous.
