problem #1

Tundra 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Driving to work and at a busy PA 95 interchange with other highway systems got cut off by 3 cars.. used my horn to signal they are about to hit me or cutting me off as any normal driver would... the third time my horn did not work anymore.. so I pulled over and was turning the wheel left and eventually it worked again ( wheel had to be in position as you were in the middle of making a left hand turn ).

So it seems something in the clock spring just broke for no reason.. I am the 2nd owner of the truck which was bought at 6,700 miles certified used from a dealer.. no accidents ever in the truck but all of a sudden the clock spring just malfunctions??? this is not normal especially since it was around the 60k mile mark, the truck was not even really broken in. Beware Toyota owners of faulty clock springs.. they control a lot of stuff including your air bag deployments!
