Fuel pump is losing prime and difficult to start when cold. Various websites indicate Toyota issued a recall for 2018 and 2019 Tundra fuel pumps in 2020, but no recall appeared on our recent search when we began having issues. Did Toyota end the recall?

One morning, I tried to start my truck, and it would not start. After taking it to Lipton Toyota in Fort Lauderdale, they determined the fuel pump was faulty. Unfortunately, they-??ve had my truck for over two weeks and have informed me of a national shortage for Toyota fuel pumps. I have spoken to other dealerships in the area, including those in Kentucky, they are also on back order for these fuel pumps.

The vehicle is vibrating while accelerating and bogging down when the accelerator is depress, causing the car to slow down drastically. Doing research it similar to the issues that the fuel pump were having in the 2019 Toyota tundra recalls. Also at the start of the engine it seems that is bogging and causing the rpm to fluctuate, in some cases car will crank and will not start. I have vĂdeo prove of this issue and audio when the car is starting

Vehicle died while driving, found that fuel pump quit working. towed to a shop, they informed me that Toyota has a recall on the fuel pumps and was instructed to tow the vehicle to Central Toyota in Jonesboro AR. Was told that my vehicle didn't fall into the recall for fuel pump failing while driving. was forced to purchase a new fuel pump and have it installed after towing back to a repair shop.

3 times in the last few mos the BRAKE! warning came on. Nothing was causing this warning to engage. This happened again today. Another issue is when the Valdosta Toyota (GA) dealer attempted to fix the fuel pump recall on 22 JUL 2020 it was assembled incorrectly. I called the dealership and told them to come and get my Tundra because gas was dripping onto my driveway. They sent a tow truck and it was supposedly fixed and they brought it back to me in about 2 hrs. It really does run the way it did before they -??re-fixed-?? it. Very often now when it is driving I feel something like a failing fuel pump. It fades away but it is not comfortable taking it long distances. It feels like there is a clog in the fuel system or something, although there is not. I have 33,400 miles on it today and I can-??t help but wonder if Valdosta Toyota didn-??t just exchange the original fuel pump with a different used one?
