As soon as I bought the Tundra I noticed the warning light for "cruise control not available" was on. I called the dealer (Auto Nation Toyota Corpus Christi). They said it takes a while for it to adapt. They also said they can not look at the truck unless the warning was on. This told me that they have had calls about it before. I turned on the cruise control and took it to Toyota with the warning on. They charged me $80.00 for diagnostics. The truck had 70 miles on it. Why would they charge anything to look at a problem? They suck at customer service, that's why. I wanted it fixed so I paid. They reset the code and it was working.
I took it home and low and behold the cruise control was not available. I called back and the service advisor told me the new trucks have too many sensors so just turn the cruise control off. Just so everyone knows, the cruise control is my favorite feature on the new vehicles. I like not having to push the pedal. Plus, for 70k I should get to have cruise control. Almost 1 year later and I still have warning lights and no cruise control. Buyer beware. No more Toyotas for me. This is my 4th and last Tundra. The new trucks are not the same quality the old ones were. Oh yeah, Auto Nation Corpus Christi is f@cking horrible also.
