The brakes squeal when reversing and sometimes when you-??re driving forward coming to a stop. It has done this since the day I picked it up at the dealership. The dealership says there-??s no remedy for it yet. The next thing is the front fog lights also draw moisture just like the rear reverse lights. Dealership says there-??s no remedy for it or fix for it. I-??ve had to have the radiator replaced twice in this vehicle and it only has 44,000 miles on it. The dealership says it-??s a factory defect. Not sure if that-??s true or not. It was not covered under warranty so I had to spend $200 to use my extended warranty. I do not think that is right it should-??ve been covered under the manufacturers warning, especially if it was a manufacturer defect. The last but most important thing is the lag when you give it gas. This happens from a complete stop or also like if you-??re trying to accelerate to get on the highway you can press it nice and slow and it won-??t takeoff or you can mash on it all the way to the floor and it still takes a few seconds and then kind of vibrates and pops like it-??s trying to skip gears before it takes off and goes. Dealership also says there-??s nothing wrong with it. I believe it is a factory defect or some kind of wiring problem. The reason why I think it is a computer or wiring issue is that if you put the vehicle in sport mode, it will not do it coming from a complete stop. It does do it when you-??re getting on the highway even in sport mode. I am on a few Facebook forums and I see this problem where people report this problem all the time and ask how to fix it. I would like information on how to get Toyota to buy my vehicle back. These trucks have had so many issues with engine recalls, engine replacement, and other issues that are an actual safety concern and I do not feel like it is a safe vehicle to be traveling with my family. The engine repair was a short block only, even thoe the main bearings spun and sent debis threw the engine. #1 rod went as well. Apon recieving the truck back, with in 200 miles, I've had the same hesitation with the engines as I had just before the first engine failed. Took it by the dealer and no issues found. oil preasure stays up and temp normal. I've had many issue with throtle lag sence day one. The milage has stayed in the low 11 gpm when before i would get on average 14 to 16. Dealer stated toyota would make it right if the engine fails again. Very unhappy with Toyota as I feel they are just kicking the can down the road.

When starting from a very slight rolling stop I sometimes get no throttle response at all. When this happens i end up applying more throttle and I still do not move. Then after a second or two the truck takes off like a rocket. This usually happens at an intersection with the steering wheel turned one way or the other. Not sure if this is an engine or transmission issue or both.

Acceleration pause or lag dead spot from slow like yielding at yield sign or from stop. Not always from stop but consistent from slow rolling from situations like yield sign or merging to traffic. I have encountered several situations where I was afraid I would be hit by another vehicle but lucky enough to make it or the other driver slowed or break. Then when it does go there is a huge jerk like it kicked in and I punched the accelerator. This occurs frequently.

Vehicle hesitates to accelerate from stop or slow roll when pedal is engaged. This hesitation nearly caused a collision when attempting a left-hand turn in heavy traffic. Problem can be reproduced easily and is exacerbated when on an incline. It has not been confirmed by dealer or service center. Occurs regardless of whether auto start/stop feature is enabled or not. Putting transmission in "S" mode and manually down shifting to first gear appears to prevent the issue. After the hesitation, when the vehicle begins to accelerate, it performs a "hard" acceleration, like the pedal was slammed to the floor, even though consistent pressure was maintained on the the pedal. Problem has existed since purchasing the vehicle new in Dec. 2023.

The vehicle experiences throttle lag/hesitation when going from a stop. At stop lights or when at a complete stop when you apply gas there is a good amount of hesitation before the engine moves. I found this is dangerous because the warmer the vehicle is the more I expirience it. Very concerning when trying to move out of traffic, when making left and right turns at intersections. There has not been an accident yet but it is a ticking time bomb.

On Wednesday 10/21 at approximately 11:30pm I was traveling on the Clearview Expressway. While changing from the middle last to the left lane at 20mph due to a construction merge with some traffic. When trying to accelerate the truck lost all throttle power and my speed quickly dropped to 12mph before throttle response came back. No noticeable or harsh change of gear for this episode.

On Saturday 10/18 I was traveling about 60mph on the Long Island Expressway at approximately 12:30pm when I went to accelerate to pass a vehicle. Immediately upon pressing the accelerator the truck lost all throttle power and I quickly lost speed down to 45mph before throttle response came back. The truck harshly went into gear once throttle power resumed.

Brakes - When descending down a hill at speed the brakes on my truck pulsate as if the rotors are warped. My family was put at risk due to the brakes not functioning properly and causing me to let off the braking system in order to prevent overheating. I asked my dealer to review the brakes and they indicated nothing is wrong, I can reproduce this action anytime for the dealership with a simple ride up and down the mountain. This could result in a crash harming myself, my family, or other motorists. The problem began between 5k-10k miles and is getting worse. My truck currently has 16k miles. The brakes should last 40k-60k miles with no problem. Engine/fuel system - Since new, my truck has never met the window sticker EPA ratings listed. 22-23 models being recalled due to engine failure leads me to believe my engine is not performing at peak performance, thus, affecting fuel economy. I am afraid my model (built in 2023) is slowly experiencing the same main bearing failure as the 22-23 models suffered, having catastrophic results and was recalled to have a full engine replacement. My engine failing while driving could result in a crash harming myself, my family, or other motorists. I prefer not to wait for my engine to fail, given the fact that 22-23 models have all been recalled due to this manufacturing defect. Some, if not all 2024 models should also be recalled out of abundance of precaution.

I am writing to formally document a series of serious safety incidents and ongoing concerns regarding my 2024 Toyota Tundra, which I believe reflect a critical design flaw and a failure by Toyota to act in accordance with its obligations to customer safety and product reliability. In August 2025, while driving on the interstate with my minor child in the vehicle, I experienced a sudden and unexpected engine malfunction. The failure required me to swerve off the road at high speed, nearly resulting in a serious collision. This incident placed both my life and my child's life in immediate danger. The vehicle was towed via Toyota-??s SOS service to Green-??s Toyota of Lexington, KY. Upon evaluation, I was informed by Service Manager Justin that the issue was consistent with the engine failures that led to a recall of the 2022 and 2023 Toyota Tundra models. However, because my 2024 model has not yet been included in the recall-?"despite sharing the same apparent defect-?"I was told that Toyota would rebuild the engine rather than replace it. I expressed strong concerns regarding the safety and long-term reliability of a rebuilt engine in a new vehicle. I was reassured that a rebuilt engine would be -??just as good, -?? despite clear evidence to the contrary based on subsequent events. As a result of this dangerous failure and Toyota-??s inadequate response, I submitted a formal buyback request to Toyota Customer Care, citing serious and ongoing safety concerns. The dealership nevertheless indicated I would likely be denied a buyback, which I found deeply troubling given the known defect and the high-risk circumstances involved. During the initial repair, I visited the dealership to retrieve personal belongings and observed the vehicle in a completely dismantled state. The cab had been removed, and the engine was fully disassembled with parts scattered on the ground. This unprofessional and chaotic environment caused further loss of confidence in the repair quality and safety of

2024 Toyota Tundra is parked on an semi-inclined driveway. The fuel gauge and miles to empty resets back to full and the miles to empty at the max around 420 miles back to empty. Reported this incident when the mileage was around 300 to the dealership and nothing was done. A year forward I am still having this fuel gauge and miles reset issue. This is a safety hazard primarily due to the risk of unexpectedly running out of fuel. While the inaccurate reading itself doesn't directly damage the engine, running out of gas can lead to several problems. It's important to address a malfunctioning fuel gauge promptly.

I am experiencing a recurring issue with my 2024 Toyota Tundra-??s fuel gauge. Specifically, when the vehicle is parked on an incline, the fuel gauge resets to indicate a full tank, regardless of the actual fuel level.
