Venza XLE 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5 miles

SO, I've had this complaint ever since I've owned my Venza. It just seems that TOYOTA left out a "high" speed on the fan for the AC. Yes, even when I have the "re-circulate" button pushed. I've went back to the dealer and checked the acs in other Venzas, and they are ALL the same, WEAK ACs.... really? I pay 38,000 for a car and this is the best they can do? It's got leather, 20s, nav, backup camera, sunroof, panoramic moon roof, AWD, 6 speed AT, 4 CD changer, bluetooth, JBL Synthesis Stereo system, powered liftgate, auto dimming headlights, the list goes on and on and on and on.... This car is super loaded, but the AC is very LACKING!!!! The salesperson said that the car was geared to "older" consumers and that the older consumers do not like AC blowing in their face very hard. BULL! This is ARIZONA! If the AC is blowing too hard, then TURN IT DOWN!! Salesman will tell you anything. It is April 20th and it hit 100 degrees in Goodyear, AZ today!! Last Summer it hit 119 degrees!! If I turn off the passenger vent, and the back seat vent, then it is a little better, but not much. If I have a carload of people, WE ALL MELT!!!! It really sucks when I take my grandkids places and they get all red-faced in the back seat because the AC just does not cool the car down! It gets it luke-cool, but not cool enough, especially if you only drive 10 miles, get out and do some shopping, and then drive 5 more miles, get out and do some more shopping.... etc, etc, etc.... My little '97 Honda Civic with 167000 miles on it has an awesome AC!! I have to turn it down because it gets TOO COLD and blows with lots of power!! But, you know what, I would rather be able to turn it down, than NOT BE ABLE TO TURN IT UP!!!!!!! WTF??!!!! Seriously??!!! There is a little meter that represents the "Fan Speed" on the dashboard readout. As you press the button to increase the speed of the fan, it lights up more and more segments as the fan speed increases. Then it tops out, and I'm shocked that that is all there is!!! There is room on the dashboard display for one or two more LED segments, it almost makes one think that they just forgot to put in the extra LEDs and the extra gear in the fan to make it pump out some air!!
