Venza LS 2.7L DOHC 16 Valve

We started noticing overconsumption last June 2022 when we went to have an oil change done. The clerk said to check the oil regularly and we have. We just put quite a bit of oil in now (2/2023) and can't understand why it is consuming so much oil.

Based on web research, this engine has bad piston rings, Toyota refuses to fix this problem. Burning oil greatly reduces the car's value. Insulting to hear the Toyota service rep say that 1 quart in 1,000 miles is typical use.
