I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris. One day the CD player began to skip and the CD player does not work at all. I get "error" message. The radio still works.

The radio won't work on radio stations. I can hear static only. A CD will work in it very well with no static. Philpott Toyota loaned me an antenna which I installed on the car thinking that may be the problem, but it wasn't. Still only static on radio stations. Philpott said they would have to diagnose the problem which would cost labor to pull the base off of the antenna and remove the overhead inside the car. Then they may have to pull out several sections of dash to get to the radio to see if the antenna wire is damaged on the radio itself, or they may have to run the wiring. I'm sure it's the antenna wiring somewhere but you would think I would not be having this problem with this year of car!
