I had to pay $350.00 for a water pump gasket . I was told the gasket was bad because of the heat of the engine. If the mechanic had not caught it i would have more problems. I spoke to another 2007 toyota yaris owner and the same problem occurred only his water pump was destroyed at around 60000 miles. sounds to me it's a design in the engine problem.
