It is extremely annoying that the steering wheel won't move. I have to turn off the car and on again to be able to move correctly, This can cause an accident. I dont feel secure anymore driving it and have NO means to buy a new car. I am sure they will charge me and keep my car for days in the shop. How will I go to work???? I really doubt they will provide a car for me to move while they check my car. This can provoke an accident and makes me mad and nervous at the same time.

purchased a 2007 Yaris with 80,000 miles on it, almost immediately notice what could be described as a sticking steering when at highway speeds. I have had system check and steering scanned with a variety of scanners, no codes and no fixes. The acceleration sensor has been recalibrated 3 times and this takes care of it for a very short while. The is very uncomfortable when driving 60-70 mph and seems to be getting worse and very dangerous.

I have Toyota Yaris 2007. Power steering stopped working while driving. But the engine is on. I have turned the engine off and turned it back on. The power steering started working again. These things happen a few times a day. I took the car to Toyota dealer service center. They did two recalls. 1. Replace the spiral cable sub-assembly. Spiral cable FLD Kit. 2. Replace driver outer and inner track w/o seat side AB.
After they did these two recalls the power steering issue seems to go away right now. If the power steering issue comes back again I will report to you guys.
