problem #1

Yaris 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 25,200 miles

I was coming down a 4 lane roadway had stopped at a red light, could see the next one up ahead and that it was red and a vehicle was stopped there. my car was 4 cyclinder and a 5 speed so i was going thru the gears when i was getting closer to the red light put my brake on and started to switch gears and next thing i knew i was bouncing off the backend of this vehicle. at first couldn't figure out what happened, law enforcement advised that i had 67' 9" of skid marks!!, solid skid marks. The Deputy also told me that my brakes had locked up, because the skid marks were solid, not broken like they should have been if they had worked. Of course Toyota swore that this was not their fault. They had a subject who came to inspect the car and all I could get out of toyota that the car worked fine. Well my insurance also had the car towed to a very well respected car dealership who advised them that you can not do the proper testing on the vehicle without taking it to a toyota dealership and put it on their computers. well my next question was did this man drive up in a truck and pull out this computers, toyota only wanted to send me letter stating all the "proper" testing was done and it was no fault of them. This car was also state inspected in March 2009 and four new tires was put on the vehicle.

Needless to say this has ruined my credit, i work two jobs and was unable to obtain another vehicle, except for the older model i'm driving now that needs alot of work done to it. i have owned 3 toyota, this one was my fourth and never have i been treated so poorly from this company. they are unwilling to give my insurance company a copy of this man's report and will only send a letter out stating all tests was done and everything worked properly!!! THERE WAS NO WAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN, COME ON TOYOTA WHAT ARE YOU HIDING??????? I had found a web site where people were complaining about the brakes on the Yaris and how many near misses they had, Well i didn't have a near miss, its cost me a fortune, the car was totaled and I didn't have gap insurance so i had to finishing paying the rest. then i went so many places trying to find a vehicle and alot of people ran checks on my credit and made it even worse than what it was.

TOYOTA OWN UP, AND IF ANYONE OWNS A YARIS I WOULD ADVISE THEM TO GET RID OF IT.
