Yaris

  • 138,000 miles
My engine is making a rattling noise while driving and while parked. I was originally told the noise was probably my exhaust system but was later on told that I would need to replace the engine. This vehicle only has 138,000 miles on it and maintenance has been done only at dealerships. The rattling noise is either rods that need to be repaced or a timing chain.

I have a light on my dash that looks like an engine. Had the car tested and it shows that it is a little module type deal that has had to do with fuel evaporation or something on that line. Sounds like they are notorious for going bad. Its like a $300 part.
