My 2020 Toyota Yaris that I purchased in February 2020 from LHM Toyota on Eubank in Albuquerque New Mexico, began stalling (shutting off immediately after startup) in late 2020. I attempted to talk to a mechanic at LHM Toyota on Eubank but had to leave a message. My call was not returned. I took my Yaris in specifically for this issue in January 2021 and was told I was taking my foot off the break after startup, which I was not. They said since they could not replicate the problem and there were no error codes that they couldn't do anything for me.
I continued to experience stalling and it stranded me several times. Twice I had to call for a tow only to have it start up and I'd cancel the tow. I finally had it towed to LHM American Toyota on Alameda after it not only stalled, but the engine was shaking upon attempting to restart. My car was with them for two weeks, but they actually took the time to diagnose the problem and work with Toyota to identify the problem. There is a huge fuel pump recall happening but my Yaris is not on the list. I have put in a Request to Replace or Buy Back with Toyota.
I am furious that my brand new car is a piece of junk and also concerned that it has less than 6000 miles on it and the Carfax report will show so many major repairs.
