water pump leaking

One week after purchasing the used vehicle, the check engine light came on but I chose not to bring it in because I had just filled it with gas. I was told sometimes this can trigger the check engine light, looking back I wish I had brought it in. The check engine light is constantly going in a state of on and off, leaking, needing new coolant weekly. I have 3 children and can’t be worrying about my car the way that I have these past 3 months.

Coolant was puddling under car and coolant reservoir kept getting emptied. Coolant was splashing around on passenger side area near front of engine cavity. Dealership checked it out and replaced the part quickly and refilled the coolant. We first experienced the low coolant light while we were deep in the mountains and couldn't find replacement G13 coolant so we settled for distilled water until we could get back to the city.
