I purchased my 2018 Atlas in November on 19. Since then I’ve had the battery replaced, the exhaust system twice and there is a wind issue at high speed. Weird sound in engine when starting from a stop position and just start to accelerate dealer thinks its gas pump issue but still not sure... but 2 issues I have with this car and most likely will trade it in immediately after paying it off which isn’t long are:
1) The a/c in the back is terrible cannot control from the front and if you turn off engine you have to reprogram all over again. The setting is always floor vent but always have to change to face vent the next time you get into car. Most suv’s have good strong vents in the ceiling but this car very weak ones in middle console for rear and 2 in the columns coming down near the rear of car, both you have to turn on high just to get a decent amount of air out of them. And again cannot control from the front so constantly leaning into the back of the car from drivers side front to constantly changing settings!!
2) That frickin' start stop thing! Again like with the a/c you turn off car you have to push button again to deactivate. This thing is so annoying - I don't think you lose much gas at idle but worry more about all the starting wearing on the starter going to google to see if there’s a trick to disable this thing permanently!! Other then the gas, a/c, and start stop thing cars been ok, but if i had to do it over, I would have went with a Sequoia instead...and then after the Sequoia in say 5-8 yrs, then looked at the Atlas see if kinks are worked out especially the gas issue. It's terrible terrible gas mileage for a v6 and for a car with ABSOLUTELY NO POWER at ALL!!! Should have put a turbo in ALL THE MODELS!! Looking to put turbo in my V6...
