Bought my 2018 Atlas On March 17. Was thrilled - loved it so! Within days I went on a trip...and IMMEDIATELY noticed the loud wind noise on the driver's window (could be other windows as well...just not sitting there). Wondered if the window was down a bit...but since they had just tinted the windows, I wasn't supposed to mess with windows...so I didn't.
On March 31 I notified the dealer that this was quite annoying, and certainly not expected on any vehicle, much less one that is brand new and cost $41,000. They acknowledged that this was a thing they were seeing in the Atlas...and I dropped it off Monday, April 2. 7 weeks later - not a typo - it took 7 weeks to get whatever part in!! So, the part came in and they replaced window moldings to rectify the problem. Picked it up...and 2 days later went on a trip. Wind noise had not ceased or lessened. I was horribly disappointed - mainly that they felt I wouldn't notice!!! So I have asked to sit with sales manager - and at this point i don't want the car any longer.
I am absolutely heartbroken that I am paying this amount of money for this type of issue. I have no confidence they will figure out the design flaw - and I am not willing for value to decrease while they try. I will be asking for full refund and move on to another vehicle.
I'll keep you updated!

I was researching to see if anyone else is experiencing excessive wind noise with their VW Atlas. After reading a post on this site of the exact same issue I decided it was necessary to post that it is not a one time issue. I have an appt scheduled with the dealership and I hope to get the issue resolved. Either way I plan to post a follow-up on this issue.
