2025 ATLAS - Bluetooth/Infotainment Keeps disconnecting and Stops Charging Phone - Will be driving handsfree, as it is the law and have all bars and service, new iPhone and the Bluetooth constantly disconnects saying The Mobile device currently cannot be charged. Please remove objects (there are no objects in the little charging cubbie) EVEN WORSE it kicks calls off bluetooth over to iPhone in the middle of a conversation. Extremely distracting, unexpected and unsafe. Missing parts of conversations, having to grab device and say I am here, then it goes back to Bluetooth, in and out constantly leaving me ignoring people, fumbling to grab phone and compromising safety.
Told sales rep weeks after we bought car. He tried to say user error, then in April brought car in and tech said software upgrade was needed and that would fix it. Did upgrade, left dealership and happened 15 minutes later, brought car in again in July complaining about it and another software upgrade was told. THEN just brought car in again in August and was told ANOTHER software upgrade to which I asked when are we going to stop this insanity. They said had to do the software and this time it really was going to work. Did it, left dealer and 15 minutes later happened again, turned around and drove back to dealer and asked. The service tech was very nice and said they have to wait on the VTA Technicians, and my car is sitting there waiting for these VTA techs to have a solution.
I also talked with the Service Manager who also agrees he knows this is happening, he has seen it, as does the service tech - he said and already seen several times in other vehicles and is a known problem. No idea of fix, just know the problem. It is sitting at dealer was told not to expect it back any time soon because VTA Techs don't work on the weekend.
