For my 16th birthday my parents bought me a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo with only 28,000 miles and perfect paint/interior. Ever since i was a child this had been my dream car which soon turned into my nightmare. Literally 2 weeks after i got my car my first problem appeared I was stuck at the beach with no air conditioner and my car had a horrible mis and after driving over 300 miles in 100 degree weather to the nearest VW dealership they told me that I needed to have the coil Pack on my car replaced which was $387. Soon after that I was driving down the road and my car began overheating I once again was stuck on the side of the road trying to figure out what was wrong, I took my car to the dealership and they said I had a busted water pump which was going to be close to 500 dollars plus the fee for having it towed... Surprisingly this didn't fix the problem for over 2 months i carried a jug around in my car having to stop and fill it up with water every few miles. Finally i took it back to the dealership and demanded that it be fixed and it was finally fixed for about a month.. After that i was stuck at the movie theatre at 12 o'clock at night unable to get my car into drive, which they told me was luckily under warranty as a faulty censor. Then it was my throttle body costing me right at 800 dollars the later it was my 0-2 sensors and vacuum hoses. Now my current problem is a faulty wiring harness which is going to cost 500 dollars and they say its not under warranty... I am extremely upset with VW and would not recommend one to anyone... Someone have any advice this car is costing my too much money!!!!
