The 2017 Beetle convertible has had the left front sensor replaced THREE times, the right front sensor replaced TWICE and the right rear sensor replaced once. This 2017 Beetle has 15 thousand miles on it and is serviced on a regular basis.I realize each problem needs to be filed separately, which I will do. VW will not cover any of this because we have a 250.0 deductible, but so far 1,000.00 has come out of pocket. You will see from future complaints that the defective sensors happened within a close period of time. VW will only cover a part for 1 year and the defective sensors did not fall into that category. I am concerned these sensors will keep failing and VW's response is it's not a class action or recall suit. I cannot believe they are not backing their parts and functioning sensors.
Update from Feb 2, 2023 The left front sensor was initially replaced on 6/5/19 at 9,317 miles and replaced yet AGAIN on 12/21 at 13,490.0 miles.
Update from Feb 2, 2023 The left front sensor on my 2017 Beetle was replaced on 6/5/19, 112/1/21, and AGAIN on 1/20/23 with 15,229.0 miles. VW will not honor this sensor; replaced 3 times. We do have extended warranty, but each replacement cost 250. plus driving to a dealership 28 miles away and being without the car for a minimum of 3 days. Our concern is for future sensors needing replacement and VW's response is it is our problem.
