The contact owns a 2011 Volkswagen Cc. The contact stated that there was a progressing intermittent electrical and fuel system failure with the vehicle. The battery was replaced more than four times. The contact stated that there was reduced power to the point that the vehicle could shut down at any moment, creating the risk for a potential crash. The vehicle was driven to city Chevrolet of san diego (2111 morena blvd, san diego, ca 92110, (619) 597-1636). The dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure, but indicated that it may be related to NHTSA campaign number: 17V509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 4,700.

Vehicle keeps misfiring. Check engine light remains on. Epc light comes on periodically after fuel pump was replaced. While driving car jerks and check engine light begins to flash. Lots of wear to tires within a few thousand miles. Breaks must be push on hard to stop. The dealership said the only thing that was wrong was a code for carbon buildup. Dealership would not provide code just a price of $1000. Spark plugs and coils were changed before purchasing vehicle. I'm certain the fuel pump was not changed. The vehicle uses 1/8 of a tank to warm up.

I received a recall for my fuel pump. I went and got the fuel pump replaced. Now that the fuel pump has been replaced, my car is not starting, shaking at red lights, turning off on its own, windows coming down on its own, air not working and coming back on. I was in motion backing up and my car just turned off on its on. I am at a standstill with what am I supposed to do if the vehicle had a recall- that was supposedly replaced but made the car worse.

The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of electrical power for over a year while waiting to be repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 17V509000 (fuel system, gasoline). Patterson tyler Volkswagen (3800 chandler hwy, tyler, tx 75702, (903) 218-6222) and hewlett Volkswagen (7951 hewlett loop, georgetown, tx 78626) were contacted and confirmed that the part was unavailable. The dealers could not determine when the part would be provided to the manufacturer. The contact no longer drove the vehicle to prevent a potential failure or safety related situation. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I drove my two children kn this vehicle daily and am shocked at tje serious nature of the recalls we were never told about. Skmething needs to be done!

While driving my steering wheel controls stopped functioning to include my horn, airbag, esp, and traction control. After researching the web I found this is a common issue on all VW models and occurs around 40,000 miles. Apparently the VW clockspring in the steering column assembly has a design flaw, and there is no recall at this time.
