I haven't been driving the CC because I figured I needed a battery. I get in the car today and decide to go to the pharmacy drive-thru. I turned the car off because I was 3 cars back. When I tried to turn the car on, it wouldn't start. The radio, lights, and the air were still working. I got out, lifted my hood and waved the other cars around. A sweet lady stopped and offered to help. After she got her prescriptions, she pulled out her cables and jumped my car off. I went straight home without even getting my prescriptions.
The following Saturday my husband and I went and had the battery tested and it read "bad"Iso we purchased another battery with a 5yr warranty this time.
I called the VW dealer and they informed me they had the fuel pump control module recall part so I made an appointment. The defective part was possibly killing my battery.
Also, the catalytic converter indicator is on now.
Update from Aug 29, 2018: I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the recalled part, fuel pump control module, and harness. this defective part was draining my battery.
I mailed battery receipt to VW for a refund since i'd just purchased a battery 2yrs prior.
My engine light was still on so I went to my regular authorized VW repair shop and was told the code was a bad PCV so I had it replaced.
