Hood latch prevents hood from opening. VW knows this problem is a manufacturing defect and they refuse to repair it without a charge of $250 including the part. The cooling system has a error light glowing when there is no problem. The warning system shows various parts as malfunctroning but appears the diagnostic module is at fault.
