I have a VW CC 2012 --Vin [XXX]-- I have 87K and since 40K, I am going on my 3rd fuel pump, I only put in Premium gas with a fuel injector cleaner every 6K miles, I am not sure if this warrants investigation but I am putting this out there in case there are similar cars in this class/model. The contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Cc sport. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to push the vehicle to the independent mechanic where he purchased the vehicle. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with a defective fuel pump and had the fuel pump replaced. A year later, the contact stated that while driving at 10 mph, the vehicle shut off again without warning. With the assistance of police, the contact was able to push the vehicle to another independent mechanic. While at the mechanic, the contact was informed that there was a fire occurring within his vehicle close to his gas tank which was caused by his fuel pump. The manufacturer was notified of the failure to see if they would cover the repair of the vehicle, the manufacturer offered no assistance. A dealer was not notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked his failure T6O NHTSA campaign number: 17V509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 126,000.

The vehicle in question has had over two years of unresolved engine and transmission problems. The vehicle has been repeatedly return to the dealership only to be told that what it was there for not to be the problem but other things have been found and thats the problem. After paying for that repair only to bring it back for the original complaint. This is the pattern with the engine leaking oil and the leak never found to the car not going above 10 mph. Wthin the last 5 months the car has been in the shop for the same issue of no power and rattling shaking transmission. Three to four weeks at a time. In the past the car has been returned to the dealership once a week for the oil to be check and filled to specs. Also within the past two years the entire engine has been worked on by the dealership and the transmission was blown up by a technician being careless in making a repair. In repair orders I have the major work that has been done on this vehicle.in talking to the dealership and Volkswagen the only thing thats being said that the car is too far out of warranty. The issue that generates this complaint is that now Volkswagen dealership has the car and it needs a engine and transmission and wants between $8,000-$11,000. This is a major problem because of the issue that have been having over the period of time. The consumer should not be carrying the burden of this type of repair because of the history of the cars in question (which is the Volkswagen 2012 Cc). All of the problems have occurred while the car was in motion. The events with this car started in the year 2016 and the problems have been constant evry since up until this current date.

Engine is turning over but only starting occasionally. When it does start, the epc and check engine/catalytic converter lights are illuminated. This is happening now after I had to figure out the fuel pump control module needed to be replaced...before there was a recalled issued at my own expense. Car ran fine earlier today, then when trying to leave my house, took an extended time to start. Shut it off to see if it was a glitch, and didn't start at all.

(1) first of all, I apologize if I don't describe clearly because english is my second language. I will do my best. My car is 2012 VW Cc. (2) received an important safety recall in June 2018 and tried to set up an appointment, but staff at VW at auto park, cary, nc responded that they don't have the parts and no one in their company knows when they will have the parts. She asked us to call back in a week. So why did they send me a letter to increase my anxiety for the future driving? thanks to NHTSA, I found out this is a recall issued on August 2017, but I received this letter almost a year later. This is ridiculous that VW company doesn't take recalls seriously and endangers customers' lives. (3) I also have a recall for airbag shown on this NHTSA. In April of 2016, they sent me a recall letter. When I called they said that it was not available, just found out they have the parts, but never tried to inform me. No follow up service. (4) one incident that occured to me in May 2017, the computer of the car went dead while I was in a park lot. Fortunately, it did not go out while I was driving. According to them, the computer needed to be upgraded for a malfunction and we had to pay for it. My husband and I would like to talk to the management to get a direct answer of the details, but they refused to give us any contact phone number including the head office of VW. (5)in conclusion, I am very disappointed with VW at auto park, cary, nc. Especially the way that the staffs represent their company. This location's service and culture were really bad from the last few years I had gotten. I chose to get service there only because it's the closest VW location. No other reasons. Thank you for reading my complaints with your patient! have a wonderful summer!

NHTSA recall number17V509: I had my epc dash light for my vehicle turned on while driving on the highway to my job on 6/14/18. The drive was really rough and bumpy and the exhaust was fuming with emissions from the back.I eventually got to my job, offed my car and had to get my car towed to my local mechanic on 6/18/18 where he found that the fuel pump module was faulty. He charged me $323.30 out the door for the fuel pump module and labor. I contacted VW to seek for reimbursement on 6/22/18 but was told there is a "pending recall" and that it has not become active yet so they cannot issue me a reimbursement until then. As per NHTSA this recall was known since 8/16/17 and it has now been nearing a year without any resolution. I am seeking to get my amount reimbursed as soon as possible and hoping that NHTSA will be able to assist in this.

Takata recall. On a daily basis my car loses all electrical power and shuts completely off while driving on a city street, highway and has even happened while turning. It's a tremendous safety concern, as I have to stop in the middle of the road, put the car in park and try restarting. This has caused several car pile ups behind me. VW stated they are unable to pay to have this recall fixed and stated that I would be responsible for replacing the fuel pump and fuel module. I am not able to cover these expenses. This should be the responsibility of VW corporate to cover and fix this recall.

My car has lost power on several occasions and have had to buy several new batteries because of this issue. Vehicle safety hotline complaint #11097626. VW case #180469589. Letter to VW headquarters: Good morning shayna S., yesterday I visited the VW dealership and had extensive work done on my car. At which time I brought up the recall of October 2017. They explained the recall of October 2017 for fuel pump control module will not be resolved anytime soon. I explained the vehicle safety hotline told me the car was not safe to drive because it could cause a fire and to request a loaner. The manager denied my request for a loaner. I am a senior citizen and am very concerned about this situation. I will be forwarding this letter to them in regard to complaint no. 11097629.
