About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
The clock spring has failed on my Cc causing all airbags to be disabled. Volkswagen refuses to fix this as a safety issue. I'm filing this in the event that something happens I will have full recourse against them for negligence over profit.

It looks like a problem with the computer system all my light and sensors came on including airbags etc.. it happens when I turn my car on to go to work.
- Riverview, FL, USA
What happens is exactly what is described in other models and years of the same model. Failure of the steering power and airbag failure due to failure of clockspring. This is a new car and it would be quite a coincidence to have this same issue with the same manufacturer and not have it be causally related based on the same defect which caused a similar recall. The airbag sensor light wen ton, horn wouldn't work, electrical components on wheel won't work. Bringing for replacement of clockspring (same as in other recall).
