I have twin daughters that were 17 yrs. Last yr. I am a single mom. I bought this car off a craigslist ad. When my daughter & I went & looked at it I looked to see if it had ever been wrecked it had no report of that. The person that sold it to me said the convertible didn't go down because he didn't have the key, I had no idea that it had 33 complaints filed on it, and it would be leaking water filling the floor boards 2-3"every time it stormed. I also didn't know that the person that bought it brand new was hit by a ice truck who rolled over the top over it, nor did I know that the next person that bought the car had the convertible top blow off on the freeway going 60 mph down the road so her mechanic just glued it closed, nor did I the person I bought it from said it had one owner and it ran really great, I expressed I had to buy two cars & couldn't afford to buy junk or something unreliable, now my daughter is ready to go out of state to college & we can't even sell the car because of all of the complaints filed against the car. We can't afford to get it fixed and had never been sold to us as a decent running car as is. This car is literally falls beyond the lemon law it is dangerous, and I feel we have been taken advantage of in this situation. I don't know what to do about it. But I am in no position to finance another car for my daughter, this vehicle should be taken out of commission

After numerous repair attempts, the hard-top convertible continues to leak. This has resulted in pooling of water on the floor boards whenever it rains. The only place the car leaks is at the point where the hard-top meets the body of the car. There have also been multiple issues where the trunk does not latch properly when the top is closed. Although the car is able to be driven, the trunk is unable to open unless the hard-top is "down" or retracted into the trunk.

I bought a brand new Volkswagen Eos 2007 on December 26, 2006 from atlantic Volkswagen in pleasantville, New Jersey. On May 25, 2006, I was sitting at a corner waiting to turn left. A large ice truck came around the corner too fast and tipped on two wheels and fell onto my vehicle while I was inside. The ice truck's insurance company sent an adjuster out to assess the damages. The insurance company decided to have the damages fixed instead of totaling the vehicle on the spot. Since then, the vehicle has been in the auto repair shop and it is now October 15, 2007. The auto repair shop owner has reported to me that the reason why the vehicle cannot be repaired yet is because Volkswagen has not made parts for this particular model (Eos) yet and they are not available. When calling atlantic Volkswagen in pleasantville, New Jersey, they refused to talk to me or help me with these issues. They said for me to take my business else where. What I am upset and frustrated about is the fact that Volkswagen has put a model out for consumers to buy but has not taken the responsibility to supply the parts for their products. Plus, I am still paying heavy car payments for a car I do not have or am driving and paying for insurance as well. How can you help? nothing has been done to correct the situation yet.
