I have had many problems with my 2008 EOS. I had to replace the air conditioning compresser, both window mechanisms, the convertible roof twice, and now the sunroof is broken and they want $2300 to fix it. It is costing me WAY too much money to repair problems that VW should handle since they built an inferior car.

First had alarm warning go off and reading said temp to high for conv top operation. Then read-- too fast for conv top---then trunk lid open.

Was told lid lock was broken so bought another one. Took to Pohanka Volkswagon and explained the problems. June 1, 2015. Rec'd a few call- they could not solve the problem and would have to take the whole convertible top off. I said no-just fix the trunk lock so it will stay closed. Picked car up today 6/10/15 and was told not to open the trunk or it may not close again. Paid and left.

Arrived home (dealer is 45 minutes from home) and received call from Pohanka to bring car back because they forgot to put some parts back on lid lock. Told them I would have to come next week.

I don't think the mechanics know how to fix the EOS. Why make car if trained technicians can't fix the problems?

I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR THE CONVERTIBLE!! Seriously, right after I own it for one summer I get that annoying message on my dash saying "Convertible top not working - see dealer".. What's worse is apparently this is a common issue.

Currently in the shop until Monday?? I don't think a $38,000 car that is only 3 years old should leak rain in it all the time and the convertible top no work properly - It has been in the shop 5 times in the last 2 months and is currently in the shop fixing a problem that was suppose to be fixed last Friday. Volkswagen dealership service department mechanic even told me that 98% of EOS leak rain inside them and the convertible tops don't work. I keep this car in the garage and get regular maintance work done. The mechanics at Volkswagen's dealership sevice department told me that 98% of the EOS cars leak rain water inside and that the convertible tops don't operate properly
