VW of America's PR group should be name Problem Resistance. They know the fact that the entire fuel injection system failing in the course of 2 months is really their own engineering problem . They have added several additional warranties to the car's fuel injection system AFTER the car was manufactured. Yet, they won't stand behind their design or be willing to face the truth. They do not know how to build fuel injection engines! Mercedes skipped on this design because it was plagued with problems (THEY ARE GERMAN ENGINEERS!)
The VW group should be recalling every car they have put out on the market with fuel injection. To see a low pressure fuel pump fail and be replaced only to have the high pressure fuel pump fail and have to be replaced and oh...yea...half of the fuel injectors failed and had to be replaced. This car has not even reached (puberty) 60,000 miles. This is crime and sham! Shame on you Volkswagen! Take your cars and leave the US alone. We don't want manufacturers here who won't stand behind their products.
And to add insult to injury, I spoke to a Lauren H. (that is all she would divulge) at VW PR.. She led us on for over two weeks assuring us that all the right parties in VW Corp were reviewing the this EOS' premature failures. What she actually did was create a window of time from when we paid for the repairs at the dealer so that we could have a "cool down" period. Every two days she would call and say how well things were going. Then finally she came back with the results - no VW would not buy back the car, no VW would not help with the costs of the failures. She had received this decision from Kurt E. (again, no effort to even be accountable for the decision).
I write this complaint to try to help any unsuspecting person who would consider purchasing a VW. Do not trust them and do not believe their hype that they "ARE" GERMAN ENGINEERS, they are not. I have learned my lesson the hard way. I will be telling this story for many years to come so I hope it eventually helps put them out of business.
