After having my air bag light come on due to a failed driver airbag switch under the driver seat, & fixing it myself, I found out that there are hundreds of other VW golf mkiv owners that have had the same problems. Also, I have found out that if the airbag light is on, then none of the air bags will work in the event of an accident!! now the airbag light is on again - this time due to the passenger airbag switch failing.
