Dealer complicated issue. Repair technician stated to service representative that clutch cable caused premature clutch failure. The manufacturer should be held responsible for all repairs to parts that fall into the field of normal maintainence. The repair cost should be prorated to the expected lifetime of the part. Unfortunately, the dealer claims that Volkswagen claims no responsibility for my clutch failure.
