Golf GLS 1.8t

The PCV tubing which consists of rubber and plastic tubes completely degraded. This is the worst design ever for the intended purpose. The system is designed to capture crank case blow by which includes escaped oil and redirect it back to the engine. The flaw of this system is running hot gas containing oil through rubber and plastic. The hot oil eats away through rubber and plastic. I had to replace all of the PCV tubing (work done myself) with parts totaling $200.
