Golf GTI SE 2.0t

  • Manual transmission
  • 48,190 miles

For the past 37 years, I have been a devoted VW driver, and I am incredibly disappointed in VW by not standing with me in my reasonable request for assistance. I even stuck with VW during the diesel scandal in which I was directly affected.

I will not be buying another VW for myself or my 16 yr. old daughter, where I was passing on my love for the VW brand before. No longer will I be singing your praises to anyone who would listen.

I was completely sold and convinced on stage One APR Tuning by an authorized VW dealer. I did sign the agreement but was still assured by my service rep that I would not have any significant issues that would not be covered by the VW warranty.

My check engine light and EPC light came on, so I took my beloved GTI MK7 into get new brake pads and have the turbo issues checked out. I have recently relocated, and this was a new dealership for me. The service rep notified me that VW corporate had marked my car as chipped and would not make the necessary repairs for free but requested I pay $2042.33, which I refused. I immediately called my original VW service rep and was told that Volkswagen is aware of the Turbo issue on the GTI, and it has nothing to do with my car being chipped. Even if I unchipped the car, VW still wants me to pay 2Gs to repair THEIR problem.
